Lost Packages: In the event a return item is lost in transit the decision of my insurance carrier is final. They specialize in high value jewelry transport and insure packages for up to $75,000.00. The amount we are dealing with is low in comparison. I have used this insurer for many years with no issues.
When the package is scanned into the system by the driver or staff person the insurance coverage is started.That scan is when the liability moves from you to the carrier.The carrier covers all risk to the package after that point except fraud.
In other words, fraud would be shipping a empty box.This will not work and you would be charged with insurance fraud. Clear and simple 99.9 % of anyone we do business with will have no problems and since my carrier is an expert in the field knows what to look for to prevent problems during shipping.
Your package is covered by a 3rd party insurer. Please list " 0 " value on the box if asked. FedEx does not need to know the contents, only that it is Not dangerous goods according to their shipping restrictions and it is nothing fragile.
